Here at Dabba, we immersed ourselves in the universe of the artist Matéria Prima to create the entire graphic identity for the short film "Incursões inesperadas em metrópoles carnívoras com alguns momentos macios" (Unexpected incursions in carnivorous metropolises with some soft moments), directed by Bernardo Guerreiro and inspired by the work novidadedasantiga.

Our work began with the main poster art and unfolded into individual posters for the film's three tracks, as well as letterings, title cards, and end credits.

We sought a creative path that reaffirmed the work's sensitivity and impact. We used frames extracted from the film itself and chose a bold typography, manually manipulated in each application to achieve the exact texture and weight the project required.

Our inspiration traveled from traditional Minas Gerais cachaça labels—the artist's homeland—to the classic soul music and rap typography of the 1970s and 1980s.
